Dear Allstat Please find below the latest permanent Biostatistics Manager vacancy in Cambridge. Biostatistics Manager DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Project-specific * To ensure that an operational plan (including study specifications, schedules and budgets) is prepared, maintained and made available to all relevant members of the Biostatistics team and the Project Manager. * To allocate and co-ordinate resources within the team to achieve the operational plan, or to identify requirements/clashes to the Associate Director * To monitor progress of a project against the operational plan, reporting any deviations to the Project Manager, with reasons for the deviations and plans to recover the position, if appropriate * To ensure that all work carried out in the Biostatistics team is in accordance with SOPs and WPs, or to have approved documented deviations in place * To liaise with the client on the technical aspects of the statistical analysis of a project * To provide the Project Manager with timely, accurate status and budgetary reports 2. Operational management * To contribute to the general planning, scheduling and resource allocation within Biostatistics * To contribute to a regular review (at least annually) of general common practices and procedures within Biostatistics 3. Line Management * To carry out a regular review (at least annually) of each individual member of your team, in order to ensure that each person's contribution is rewarded appropriately; that their individual competencies are reviewed and updated; that training needs are identified and addressed; and that all necessary steps are taken to deal with non-performance where necessary * To authorise holidays for those individuals in your team, in line with all operational plans * To set objectives and targets for each individual in your team 4. To promote a positive image of the Company through professional behaviour at all times 5.
