This will involve the use of programming languages such as Perl, TK, CGI, HTML and DBI and relational databases. You should have a first degree in a numerate subject and ideally have a relevant postgraduate degree e.g. in computer science. You should be able to demonstrate good programming skills, be familiar with standard programming techniques, think logically, have good attention to detail, communicate effectively, and be willing to learn.
