Programmer in Nutritional Bioinformatics

Salary £23643-£29127 per annum

Limit of tenure:  Three years

Applications are invited for a Computer Associate Grade III to write
programs and develop software for nutritional research. This will involve
the use of programming languages such as Perl, TK, CGI, HTML and DBI and
relational databases. You should have a first degree in a numerate subject
and ideally have a relevant postgraduate degree e.g. in computer science.
You should be able to demonstrate good programming skills, be familiar with
standard programming techniques, think logically, have good attention to
detail, communicate effectively, and be willing to learn. Knowledge of
medical statistics, Linux/UNIX would be an advantage.
