Principal Consultant: Animal Health & Welfare (Edinburgh) Principal Consultant: Ecology & Environmental Science (Aberdeen) BioSS offers two rewarding appointments for experienced statisticians with enthusiasm for the provision of consultancy advice to, and innovative collaborations with, research scientists. Post-holders will manage small teams of consultants supporting research funded by the Scottish Executive, conduct applied strategic research in statistical methodology and/or mathematical modelling, and develop a portfolio of contract research and consultancy. Starting salary will be in the range £34 - £40k, plus public sector pension. Applicants must have at least six years experience of collaboration with scientists and innovation in applied statistics / stochastic modelling, substantiated by a good record of applied research publications. Experience of staff and project management would be a distinct advantage.
