They are looking to establish and nurture the vital skills needed for the credit risk evaluation process. You will be taught key elements in the credit scoring process including the development of scoring solutions and how to analyse data in the credit risk process ensuring that client’s needs are met and delivered. Under the supervision of analytical supervisors you will be involved in various projects throughout the organisation. You should have good communication skills as you will be involved in some client meetings including presenting the results of your findings. Excellent career opportunities exist for those wishing to develop a career in finance. Rapid promotion is expected within 18 months at which time you can move into a Senior Business Analyst role and from there onto Project Manager within 5 years. If you have an good academic record, a degree in a numerate discipline for example Mathematics or Statistics and a keen interest in starting a career in Finance then this is the opportunity for you! Those with a years analytical / statistical work experience will certainly have an advantage. Applicants should be familiar with modeling techniques and understand how scoring models are used to implement solutions. You should have a good understanding of Statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS, S+ or similar and be able to apply these packages to perform Statistical techniques such as Regression, Modelling and Data Mining.
