A SPRUCE/ICMS research workshop on smoothing-based abd gaussian process based methods for non-parametric regression in environmental problems will be hled 26-30 March 2007 in Edinburgh. The aim of the workshop is to explore the relationship between smoothing and bayesian gaussian process based approaches to non- parametric regression and model uncertainty, with particular application emphasis on environmental problems. Atendance is mainky by invitation, but a limited number of places are available with priority given to young researchers (PhD students, post docs).
