Area of Specialization: Social and Political Philosophy. Areas of Competence: Rational Choice, including Decision Theory and/or Game Theory, Normative and Applied Ethical Theory. Responsibilities: Exemplary research and publication, teaching four courses per year, graduate student supervision, and participation in some committee work. We are committed to expanding the Philosophy Department's strengths in normative and applied ethics and seek a candidate who will make a significant contribution to the Center for the Advancement of Applied Ethics and Political Philosophy. Also, we will give priority to a candidate with a demonstrated ability to collaborate in research with experts in her or his area of application. Applicants from relevant areas outside of philosophy will be considered, if their work is philosophically motivated and informed.
