Good afternoon, Please find below details of a new Group Risk Manager (Credit Risk) position in the Group Risk function at Northern Rock PLC, based in our Head Office at Newcastle upon Tyne. Principal Responsibilities and Key Activities * To develop and deliver Group Risk's Credit Risk Model Validation programme. * To ensure the programme is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements. * To support the delivery of NR's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process. * To be aware of "best practice" in Credit Risk Model Validation and advise the Director of Risk on NR's adopted practices versus major competitors and/or relevant other industries. * Project Management: To manage Credit Risk Model Validation reviews (and risk assessment projects as appropriate), ensuring they are delivered within budget and on a timely basis. * Relationship Management: To manage Group Risk's relationships with external validation support service providers and consultants. * Reporting: To support Group Risk's senior management in ensuring that senior management receive appropriate Risk Reports accurately and in the correct form to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. * To develop the management information available and reported on Credit Risk Model Validation activities. * To support Group Risk's senior management in advising Risk Committee, Management Board ALCO and other business review groups on Credit Risk Model Validation issues. * Other Activities: To review senior management papers to identify any material risks and assess the efficacy of the recommended actions in addressing risk.
