Dear Colleagues - Recently DPC has changed TSH kit. The company states "TSH kit has been reoptimized, and a sample specific negative bias has been corrected. Patient and control results may shift to higher values". We have seen upward shift in the patient samples (median with old kit = 1.49; n=4885; new kit = 2.39; n=1381) and the lab is receiving calls from physicians about slightly high TSHs (6s, 7s and 8s). Have you seen this shift? Have you reevaluated/ changed the reference ranges? Thanks.
