UK NEQAS needs to add a note of caution. As for many complex substances, the
units conversion factor is method-specific. Tim's factor of 1.21 is correct
for most methods but there are some exceptions. For example, the factor for
BRAHMS Kryptor AFP is one (that is, ng/mL = kU/L). If in doubt, check with
the manufacturer of your method,
