For the Global Medical Affairs Department, situated in Braine-l'Alleud, 15 kms away from Brussels, UCB is looking for a (m/f) Senior Biostatistician Ref : BRA-003223 The function: - Provide statistical expertise and perform the statistical activities for Phase IIIb-IV clinical trials and investigator initiated studies, - Provide statistical input in study protocol (trial design, sample size, randomization and data analysis section) and prepare statistical analysis plans, - Perform statistical analysis and interpret clinical trial data, prepare statistical methods and results sections of the clinical study report and manuscripts. - Interact with cross-functional teams to give statistical input and guidance (data management, clinical, marketing) - Ensure the conduct of statistical activities according to the ICH and GCP requirements and company SOPs - Contribute to the review of statistics SOPs and processes - Participate in internal training sessions on statistics and clinical trial methodology The profile: - MSc in Biostatistics - Sound knowledge of GCP and ICH guidelines - Must be able to apply advanced statistical methods to clinical trials - Understanding of the disease area of designated projects - Must be able to use study designs which minimize variability and avoid analysis problems - Experience in clinical trials related SAS programming - Understands the regulatory process regarding submission and approval of a file - Must be able to write and explain study results in a clear, concise and easy-to understand English to an audience of non-statisticians - A least 5 years experience in biostatistics with a minimum of 3 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
