Some games from the X-Box will play in the X-Box 360, but not all of them. In most cases where an X-Box game will play on the X-Box 360, the X-Box 360 owner will have to connect to the X-Box Live service to download patches just to be able to play the game. I suspect this will mean that not many X-Box 360 owners will play many X-Box games Hope this helps Dave ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dave Brown ICT Technical Support Officer Newport Central Library Email: [log in to unmask] Community Learning and Libraries ------------------------------------------------------------------ >>> Loz Pycock <[log in to unmask]> 16/12/2005 08:16:14 >>> X Box etc----- Original Message ----- >From: Paton, Hugh >To: [log in to unmask] >Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2005 2:52 PM >Subject: X Box etc >Dear List, >in this world of mushrooming opportunities for electronic fun and games and >particularly the income-generating potential thereof, has anyone branched >out beyond >the now fairly trad triad of CD/DVD/Playstation loans or hire? >We are finding CD use is dropping fast, DVDs are doing fine and Playstation >hire is tailing off - should we get into X-Box etc or make our excuses and >retire? >Thanks, >Hugh Paton >Library Development Manager - Bexley Council As Mr Playstation Game Buyer for our group I've asked about buying X-Box games and am awaiting a reply from the management. Does anyone know if there is a difference between games for the X-Box and those for this new X-box 360 that's sold out before Christmas? If it's like Playstation and the PS2 I suspect that will have some effect on what we buy if we do decide to buy anything. - -- Loz "History will bear me out, particularly as I shall write that history myself." - Winston Churchill, attrib.
