FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS Cutting Edges: Classrooms, People and Cultures A conference for those researching and working in the fields of language, culture and education June 23rd and 24th 2006 Department of Language Studies Canterbury Christ Church University Canterbury, England Invited Speakers: B. Kumaravadivelu, Department of Linguistics and Language Development, San Jose University, California Adrian Holliday, Canterbury Christ Church University Simon Borg, University of Leeds plus others tba. We invite papers which address new, 'cutting edge', thinking and research in the following areas: " Classrooms as innovative spaces and cultures " Teachers and learners: people in diverse contexts " Innovations in teacher education " Diversity in language education: multiple domains Papers will be 20 minutes plus ten minutes for discussion.
