Azerbaijan Elections 2005: Eurasianet Special 

Description: This web site was created by US based news service Eurasia.net to provide coverage of the 2005 elections in Azerbaijan. It includes news headlines and some analysis of the conduct and context of the elections as well as access to constituency maps, profiles of candidates, policies and political parties and some background information on the electoral system. Also available is a directory of links to key web sites covering the events. All information is offfered in English.

Terrorism and Security: Liberty Publications 
Description: This site is maintained by leading UK human rights group Liberty. It provides free access to their press releases, statements, briefings and full text reports relating to liberty and security in the UK. These include briefings and critical commentary on human rights issues relating to the Terrorism Bill, the detainment of terrorist suspects and the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005.

Early New Zealand Books 
Description: Early New Zealand Books (ENZB) is a project of the University of Auckland Library. It is currently digitising a collection of of significant books published about New Zealand in the nineteenth century which are held in Special Collections/Kohikohinga Motuhake in the University of Auckland Library. Many areas of interest covered by these include: British colonization and settlement in New Zealand, travellers accounts of contacts with the native community, anthropological studies of the maori peoples and the history of New Zealand. Users may browse the catalogue or search. Copyright information is displayed on the site.

Albanian Election Study 
Description: This site provides access to information about the 2005 Albanian Election study in English and Albanian. This is a public opinion survey which gathered information on voting trends, political attitudes and knowledge about the elections amongst the Albanian electorate. The English language web site (which is hosted by the Albanian Political Science Association) includes the questionnaire and some analysis of the results.

Faultlines: Writings on Conflict and Resolution 
Description: Faultlines is published quarterly by the Institute for Conflict Management New Delhi, India. It is a cross- disciplinary serial which published articles, analysis and reviews relating to international security and public policy in South Asia. It is possible to access tables of contents and full text journal articles from volume one onwards. Topics covered include: terrorism and regional security in India, Pakistan, Sri lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The security environment in South Asia in the post September 11 environment, Islamic fundamentalism and its links with terrorism, the conflict between India and Pakistan concerning Kashmir.

Democracia en América Latina UNDP 
Description: This is a special project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It seeks to encourage democracy in the nations of Latin America. These include: Argentina,Bolivia, Brazil Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The site includes information about the programme, plus news updates and full text reports. These include surveys of the state of democracy and discussion of practical measures to enhance it.

British Polling Council Post Election Seminar Papers 2005 
Description: This site provides free access to a small collection of conference papers given at the British Polling Council post-election seminar in June 2005. They discuss issues relating to opinion polls in the June 2005 Uk general election. Companion for Undergraduate Dissertations: Sociology, Anthropology, Politics, Social Policy, Social Work and Criminology 
Description: This site provides free access to a survival guide published by the Higher Education Academy's Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics, the Centre for Social Work and Policy and Sheffield Hallam University. It provides useful tips on literature searching skills and preparing a dissertation at undergraduate level. It also includes chapters for lecturers on supporting students and plagiarism. These include case studies of good practice. There is also a glossary of terms and bibliography of further reading.
