medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture > (should anyone actually know anything about the scriptorium of Fleury's > influence on other monastic scriptoria at this time i would be very happy to > hear of it.) Hello Christopher, You might want to look at the catalogue of another recent exhibition, La France Romane au temps des premiers Capetiens (987-1152) (Louvre, 2005), which provides a very interesting overview of regional manuscript production (and sculptural production) through France at this period. Fleury was certainly not alone in being influenced by Anglo-Saxon manuscript illumination. And the catalogue includes some Chartrain material, as well.
