Ms. Cox,

This is not cross posting.

This is spam.

You are abusing a channel for information exchange within the petroleum data management community.

You are also giving Woodhead Publishing a bad name ... many of us will now subconciously associate their name with spam.

A review of the descriptions of the journals and the purpose of this group reveals that there is no common ground between the two.

Personally, I think clients would get a better deal with targetted marketing perfomed by people who had some understanding of what the product was and who the potential customers are. There are many companies out there who can do this and who understand how to use technology to help their clients.

I'm sure my views echo those of many others who are legitimate members of this list.

Regards,

Richard Pelling

Ships and Offshore Structures is aimed at academics and practitioners involved in maritime engineering, and with an Editorial Board drawn from 27 countries, this journal will offer truly international coverage of up-to-the-minute research developments, advanced technologies and best practice.

Ships and Offshore Structures is intended to cover the entire range of issues and technologies related to both ships e.g. tankers, LNG carriers, large container vessels, naval vessels, and offshore structures e.g. floating, production, storage and off-loading units (FPSOs), with a strong emphasis on practical design, construction and operation. Whilst existing journals deal with technologies as related to specific topics, Ships and Offshore Structures will provide a systematic approach to individual technologies, to more efficiently and accurately characterize the functioning of entire systems.
