Having just read Duncan's message, I went back and checked up on the statement that I transcribed the article. I didn't: Professor Myddelton wrote it up himself. This is not Duncan's mistake. It is a journal editing error. In fact the article that I transcribed was Professor John Kay's.

Clearly, Professor Myddelton needs an apology.

As Duncan says, the article is well worth reading.
