Dear Colleagues, I would like to solicit your expert opinion on metadata model choice for cataloging the digital library collection. We are currently deciding between Simple Dublin Core (15 elements, but we might extend it and add some custom elements), Qualified Dublin Core and Learning Object Metadata Element Sets. I am aware that while the IEEE LTSC LOM and DCMI cooperative work is presently ongoing, currently they are still quite distinct choices. Would any of you have any experience/preferences that you would like to share?
