David, think I've got the right fix for the slots failure to initialise problem, but cannot see this error anymore, anyhow. Have you a sure-fire recipe for reproducing it? Can you confirm that you're using FC4 with GCC/4 with g77/compat or whatever (g95)? Also do you know if your compiler produces 64bit code by default or not? Cheers, Peter.
