***** Apologies for cross posting***** At Darlington we wish to survey the use of non-loan books, predominantly those in the Reference Library. At the moment we are piloting a scheme whereby we are date-stamping the inside back covers of books used by staff or left out by readers. We envisage reaching a point when we will ask customers to leave out all books used. Has anyone tried this, or any other method, and how successful did they judge the method(s) to be?
