italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies

CALL FOR PAPERS: “ITALIAN FICTION IN THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES”
A Two-Day Conference hosted by the European Studies Research Institute,
University of Salford (UK), 24-25 March 2006
Keynote speakers:

- Dacia Maraini
- Giorgio Bàrberi Squarotti
The aim of this Conference is to shed new light on one of the most turbulent
and complex eras in modern Italian fiction, that of the 1960s and 1970s.
Papers, either in English or in Italian and to last no longer than twenty
minutes, are welcome on individual authors and texts or, alternatively, on
particular movements, themes, stylistic developments or other aspects
relating to Italian fiction in the Sixties and Seventies. All those who wish to
propose a paper are invited to forward, by 31 October 2005, a title and
abstract (c. 200 words). Please include a short biographical note and details
of institutional affiliation.

L’European Studies Research Institute dell’Università di Salford (Gran
Bretagna) promuove un convegno internazionale sul tema “La narrativa
italiana degli anni Sessanta e Settanta”.
Si invitano proposte di comunicazione, in italiano o in inglese, relative a
qualsiasi aspetto della narrativa italiana degli anni Sessanta e Settanta, sia
su singoli autori sia su poetiche, scuole, tematiche, sviluppi stilistici o altro
ancora. Le proposte di comunicazione, complete di titolo e breve riassunto
(200 parole circa), dovranno essere inviate agli organizzatori entro il 31
ottobre 2005. Alle proposte si prega di allegare una succinta nota biografica
e notizie sull’eventuale affiliazione universitaria.
