Announcing a study day for all librarians who currently, or would like to, offer a value added literature searching service.

University Hospitals of Leicester Clinical Librarian Service are hosting a national literature searching study day at the National Space Centre, Leicester on 24th March 2006. 

The theme of the day will be peer support in literature searching, digest writing and rapid critical appraisal. Dr Nunzia Giuse, of Annette and Irwin Eskind Biomedical Library, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Tennessee will be delivering the keynote address on peer support for librarians providing literature search services. The rest of the day will be a hands-on session carrying out a real-time literature search & digest. 

	Learning objectives: 
*	Provide opportunity for peer support
*	Share good searching practice
*	To understand the process of summary/digest writing
*	To further understand the process of search strategy development
*	To rapidly appraise a paper
