Hi All, Mohamed and John ! As something I feel I need to point out. My Forum communication below, and ALL those that I had previously sent to this Forum, can easily be read, agreed or disagreed with, and then forgotten. This also an issue with Current Educational methods. What was written is practical, "down to Earth" (though actually much more than that!), and must be ACTED UPON by individuals to have any resultant effect in aiding all of your individual wishes and actions in attempting to address Humanity's and the "Environment's" alledged "problems". No-one can really tell you how to live your life, and what to do, verbally or by writing, not really(you often just forget it within a short period). But if you have your own EXPERIENCES (such as, as one example, by employing 1) below) THEN you can both tell others and Individually apply what you've learnt, it'll come FROM you, and then, you'll have no need for others to inform you what to do! What was written needs to be acted upon and applied, and not be lost to the other words on this Forum or elsewhere over short or long time, as the key to CORRECTLY addressing ALL issues related to this Forum's interests lies in what you "individually" learn from (at least) and apply by acting (or not acting) frequently on the email below (or some such similar). There are many levels of result from getting closer to Nature (and I mean all meanings of this word), and bringing any decisions more to a more balanced and correct direction or path, with reduced Consequences, is one of them. Seeing the Woods for the Trees in any discussions, Politic or not, and in all things, is another. A lovely poem Mohamed !! And John, Many Thanks for your kind suggestion, but I must state that I personally would wish persons to each experience their own closeness to Nature, rather than objectively sit back and study it as a "science" in others. This is my personal preference. You can't teach someone to be Happy. They can only understand what being happy is personal EXPERIENCE. How does one describe the Colour Blue to someone who has had not sight since Birth ? One million words of (scientific?) description might not do it ! But if by some miracle sight were restored they might experience the Colour Blue themselves, in their own way ! One word only is needed, to assign the experience a name (if one were required). No science needed !! It's applicable to all efforts of the Crisis Forum's readers,... And it goes much farther.......(with much more to say...a Million words...) We can all do this together, and keep such methods in mind from here on in ! All the Best to you All !! Chris. McCOY ------------------------- Hi All ! If I may be so VERY bold as to do so, may I write as brief as I can (and hence quite incomplete) list for all those readers of the Crisis Forum who are wishing to make a difference, to highlight some of the ways in which their efforts may be applied (and a-priori mentally tested) more correctly, if not, however, quite so immediately (or financially) popularly (these points all apply to the author also !) !? The points raised are not a whim, or a green fancy, but are utterly fundamental, and may help both the individual themselves in their personal lives, and any efforts they elect to make. Here goes: 1) May I suggest that when you go out into the countryside, or to the sea, for many hours, that the silence and rhythm of those places be noticed, and the excess busy-ness of your mind (and all those multitude of Human(-created) thoughts and communications within it, including regards plans to aid the "Environment"/Humanity) also be noted. The "discrepancy" between the two highlights how far off correctness of any particular ideas you may have in fact are, and hence how far off their consequences might reach. Nature, as evidenced by your being at such a place, works to her own pace and rhythms, and to presume that insular inward-looking Human-only communication and ideas can Control the former is, well, to use a well-coined and utterly correct phrase, "THE ILLUSION OF CONTROL"; 2) Us Humans only know so much. It is WISE to realise this. It shows a level of UNDERSTANDING to do so. Knowledge, however, is linked to neither, and is created, communicated (or banded-about) and in Western Developed Societies freely and circularly taught to the populous, and insularly debated and examined, and is extremely limited in its coverage, and even more so for our own individual limited individual memories (and ESPECIALLY in lieu of our individual PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES !). Consequently, if you wanted to be WISE in selecting your Plans to aid Society and the "Environment" is is first best to realise just how much you (and we) do NOT know, and thus thoughts of CONTROLLING the Environment should slip substantially out of your plans. Can you look at a single field of Heather, or Corn say, and Control it (and everything in it ) ? Very difficult to really do, and gosh what resources and poisons that requires ! Magnify that to any factor of the Planet, Climatic or not, and we've really distanced ourselves from UNDERSTANDING, and even more from WISDOM (for whatever the reason, Business-style-insular-inter-individual/species competition or AN Other reason) !; 3) What say people lived day-to-day more in the vain of point 1) ? It might be nicer for them individually! It would inherently lead to less impact on the "Environment" from each of them. It would create Systems (inc. Medical)and "technologies" that had less demand, and thus required less, and thus affected the "Environment" less - but it might not be so superficially comparably favorable in Number terms than the current Economy - the "ILLUSION THAT IS THE ECONOMY AND FINANCE"; 4) Whether addressing Climatic Change, excessive Medical demand (also a significant Relative of stress for some, and of Over-population), Water and Food provision, all other forms of Life (and rock etc) other than Human, or another other cause, it would be WISE to consider the above, for individuals, and Society, and perhaps UNWISE, to use what resources you have to Fight an Un-winnable fight ! 5) Getting any plans or decisions incorrect leads to CONSEQUENCES, no matter how well-meaning (or compromised!) the plans were !! A Vital point to note !!; 5) As just a few select examples of People-thinking-they-know-best: Lots of Food being made available to the masses, and Cleanliness, lots of preservatives etc because they're great at keeping food from going off/mouldy etc, We're so great aren't we as a species, we can control these things ! So we (as a general possibility) get greatly-weakened immune systems and allergies as a result, and create enormous damage to much of our countryside and most of its life ! CONSEQUENCES YOU SEE !! We create Motorcars because we're so skilled as a Human Species that we can do it !! Brilliant aren't we as a Species !! But we use enormous resource to make each one, and create distinct pollution on large scales in so doing !! But we create Jobs !! Ha Haaa ! It's great isn't it ! We create Mobile Phones, or Supermarket systems, or Regurgitated Education, because we're so Hi-Tech and great, and much better than other Species, but we get kids and adults further removed from Nature as a result, which makes their decisions further removed from Nature which has, guess what, CONSEQUENCES !! Look at EVERYTHING in your house and Car etc (what was made to make EVERY Bit, the paint, the nails, the curtains, the dyes, etc... ?? How much is or was necessary ? How much do you really use ? How much sits around and doesn't do much ? What Earth's resources were required to make everything in your Home, or Car, or Yacht, etc ? But how many JOBS were created to make them ??!! Ha Haaaa ! Economics again ! I'll, as usual, leave it there ! But I do hope that the above may help a-priori and thereafter help TEST ANY plans or ideas you each may have for correctness, when addressing any such issues as School dinners, or the NHS, or Climate Change, or Water shortages, or Energy demands, or whether to buy that doubly-cling-film-wrapped ready-cook meal, or what to wear, or Human lifestyles, etc... as compared to the lovely calming rhythm that is afforded, as some examples, by Nature in the Countryside, or at Sea. These points all apply to me, the author, and I, also, and I am very much learning ! All the Best to you All !! Chris.
