HI Derek,

Hmmm .... it does just hang though (I went away and had acup of tea and
when I came back it was still unfinished). Just checking, it should be the
SURL not TURL used in the lcg-sd command and it is a 0 (zero) not O
(letter) at the end?

The three files that I have tried this on have been:

srm://dcache.gridpp.rl.ac.uk:8443/pnfs/gridpp.rl.ac.uk/data/cms/cms/ProdLCG/CMKIN_4_4_0/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex_215800001.ntpl
srm://dcache.gridpp.rl.ac.uk:8443/pnfs/gridpp.rl.ac.uk/data/cms/cms/ProdLCG/CMKIN_4_4_0/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex_215800002.ntpl
srm://dcache.gridpp.rl.ac.uk:8443/pnfs/gridpp.rl.ac.uk/data/cms/cms/ProdLCG/CMKIN_4_4_0/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex/sm05_wbb_lv_toprex_215800005.ntpl

With the first and the third I tried the lcg-sd command and it hanged. For
the second one I didn't. However if I then try a lcg-gt on any of them I
now "No such file or directory".

So what do I do now?

Can you check things at your end? To me it looks like all three of the
files have gone, however this may not be the case if what you say about
the lcg-sd is the case. I controlled-C'ed the two hung commands.

Please advise...

All the best and thank you for your help in this!
david
