Ever wondered why record shops just put their stock behind broad 
category labels? Does you chief cataloguer want Dewey type 
classification on the stock? Then perhaps this French take on 
classifiying recordings - with some attractive twists may be the thing 
for you.

Classifying Sound Recordings is a half-day looking at the French system 
for classifying sound recordings in an effective way which is both 
compatible with Dewey-style numbers (though not actually Dewey) but 
reflects the nature of the material being classified and the way users 
browse recordings.
