AN INTRODUCTION TO METADATA This introductory course on metadata provides a comprehensible lead into the subject and helps to 'bust the jargon'. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? It is intended for any information professional wanting to explore this current aspect of the information management and to consider its effect on library techniques. It is not a detailed training course on using XML and similar technical markup languages, but provides a way in to understanding the issues and examining the benefits.
