Hello all,
An odd question this. Today we recived through the post a letter on which our address was just about correct (enough, obviously, to get here). It was sent from Gatwick, and inside the envelope was nothing but a piece of card cut from a cereal box - it looks like 'All Bran'. On the back of the card is written, in block capital letters:
You should of course be circumspect in adding to that long line of books purporting or implying that "investment in shares" is a secure hedge against inflation.
Beneath this, in big block capital red letters is says:
Reading can seriously damage your health
Now, while this is in its own little way quite amusing, its also slightly strange and has got a couple of the staff here a little worried, and I just wondered if any other libraries had recieved such enigmatic mail like our letter? Anyone?
Cheers,
Peter Collins
