Weren't the 1920s marked by wars in the Middle East/Arabian peninsula region caused by the collapse of Ottoman and German colonial interests after 1918? 1936 - Spanish Civil War.

Quinton

It is certainly possible to extend both, 1912 for the 1st Balkan war
1919-23 Greek Turkish war, and Russian Civil war Russo-polish war 1931
for the Japanese occupation of Manchuria 1933 for 1st overt Japanese
move into Chinese territory Italy Ethiopia 1935, but I can't quite fill
the gap. Post WWII fighting was still going on in the Ukraine until 1951
and the Balkan state till 1953 or 4.

Thank You
