Rather than seeing digital/non digital writing and wild nature/digital nature as dichotmies..with rigid demarkations, perhaps we are looking at insecting areas in which varying amounts of human intervention reacts on what 'is'.

Most of nature..the English forests are there because humans have planted and nurtured them; the sky at night is coloured by emissions from factories and power stations. Our perception of these things is further mediated by our social/cultural minset.

Our concepts 'literature' and 'digital literature' are labels we place on valuable phenomena but the labels are themselves human constructs so that we can comunicate with others. But like 'night' and 'day' the constructs are not discrete and clearly separate..but flow and blend into one another..and most of all, keep changing..as previous emails have demonstrated.

Digital literarure easily becomes ink/paper based literature and vice versa. The whole point of nature is that it constantly changes, even as we speak the molecules in our body change as atoms & electrons continue their endless journey.

Is it possible that our desire to define, to set boundaries comes from a need to cope with this endless change?
