medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

The Gallo-Roman aristocracy of late antiquity is a good place to go
looking for examples. We've already mentioned Paulinus of Nola and
Gregory of Langres, but in addition there are at least the following:
Sts. Eucherius (I) of Lyon (two sons who seem to have become bishops
themselves), Hesychius/Isychius (I) of Vienne (father of Sts.
Apollinaris and Avitus of the same city), and Sidonius Apollinaris, bp.
of Clermont (a son and three daughters).

Best again,
John Dillon
