Hi Viv, LB of Newham have been using the Transport for London Oystercard for over a year as a joint library card and LBs of Lewisham, Croydon and I think Lambeth are also involved in similar work. The LLDA hosted a joint event with the M25 Consortium of HE libraries on the application of Smartcards in January - presentations available at: http://www.llda.org.uk/cms/contentpage/conferences Regards Fiona O'Brien Development Manager London Libraries Development Agency 35 St Martin's Street London WC2H 7HP Tel/Fax: 0207 641 5266 www.londonlibraries.org.uk -----Original Message----- From: lis-pub-libs: UK Public Libraries [mailto:[log in to unmask]]On Behalf Of Watkins, Viv Sent: 14 June 2005 12:05 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Using Smartcards Hello everyone We would like to know if any library authorities are using Smartcards in order to meet the government's Priority Service Outcomes. If so, can you let us know if you are doing it in partnership, how you went about it, if it has been successful, etc. I will post a report if there are several replies. Best wishes Viv.
