Hiya

Currently preparing a portfolio for revalidation.  I'd also on the panel...However, don't know it will be done by end July, although 2000 words would be Ok I think.

Subject: LIS Qualifications Reader - Article/s - Revalidation

Hiya, I'm one of the co-editors of the last edition of The Chartership Reader and I'm currently trying to compile very quickly for the Autumn an LIS Qualifications Reader which will be a free PDF that sits on the Career Development Group website.  I think it would be very useful to have one guide to all the various types of professional and paraprofessional quals available in LIS these days and within that to create and make available as fast as humanly possible some literature on each of the Regs under the 2005 CILIP Prof Quals Framework.  So those two things are the combined purpose of this.

So what I'm trying to do re the 2005 Regs is to identify the folk who have already got through or who have submissions currently awaiting assessment who would be prepared to write me approx 2000 / 2500 words hopefully for the end of July (timescale depending on when the Pilot Panels meet re Revalidation qualification obviously) once they're through on what the qualification was, why they did it, how they went about it and what was involved in it, what they got out of it.  And anything else re that they consider relevant.

I'm trying to create the basis of a coherent new literature basically.

So if anyone is interested in contributing and has got a Revalidation submission currently in (or on the point of being in) and awaiting the outcome of the assessment process by the relevant Panel can you email me offlist?

I've got one confirmed article; I'd like two more to sit beside it.

Cheers

Isabel
