It turns out that the warnings are fatal. And the reason for that is there exist undefined symbols in my pre-installed mesa lib, libglut.so.3 Attempts to compile mesa lib distributed with analysis failed owing to compiler problem, then ..., problems with linux. Not knowing why I once succeeded in compiling mesa on the same computer with the same gcc compiler several months ago for analysis 1.0.1 Finally find a compiled libglut.so.3.7.1 and copied it to system. Now analysis works. :) Sorry for the disturbance to you guys. --- Atom Crystal <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Hi there, > > I am trying to install analysis v1.0.3 on RedHat > Linux > 9, bash, Gnome, python 2.3, tcl/tk 8.3 > I have installed formatConverter 1.0.5 already and > unpacked the analysis package also into the ccpnmr > directory. > > Installation started with "python installCode.py > analysis" and I used my pre-installed version of > python, tcl/tk, mesa. > Installation seemed to proceed smoothly until at the > end of installation it gave the following messages: > > ... > make[1]: Leaving directory > `/home/tong/ccpn/ccpnmr/ccpnmr1.0/c/ccpnmr/clouds' > Creating the bin directory > could not remove directory > ccpnmr1.0/data/ccp/chemComp/nonpolymer > Run Analysis (as test) (y or n)? y > Warning, the Analysis module will not work, you need > to compile C code. > Warning, the ViewStructureFrame module will not > work, > you need to compile C code. > Warning, the WindowPopup module will not work, you > need to compile C code. > CCPNMR Analysis Version 1.0.
