alt-i stands for "advanced learning technology interoberability". The IMS Global Learning Consortium - http://www.imsglobal.org/ - which is responsible for a growing number of technical e-learning specifications, runs an annual event called alt-i-lab. This year it will be held in Sheffield, England, between 20 and 22 June, with a range of post conference workshops (already publicised through ALT-ANNOUNCE) on 23 and 24 June. ALT (which stands for Association for Learning Technology......) is "co-hosting" alt-i-lab 2005, along with a large number of commercial, academic, and public sector organisations worldwide. The final preliminary programme for alt-i-lab has just been issued, and can be downloaded as a 0.4 MB PDF file here: http://www.alt.ac.uk/docs/altilab2005june.pdf You can book for alt-i-lab and its workshops from: http://www.altilab2005.com/ Regards, Seb Seb Schmoller, Executive Secretary Association for Learning Technology -- email: [log in to unmask] phone: 0114 2586899 fax: 0709 2208443 mobile: 07753 324503 -- Oxford Brookes University, Headington, Oxford, OX3 0BP, UK Registered Charity Number 1063519 http://www.alt.ac.uk/ ALT Conference, 6-8 September 2005, http://www.alt.ac.uk/altc2005/ -- email response policy: http://www.alt.ac.uk/contact.html#Email
