Dear All

There are some useful update talks being given at the EGEE/LCG operations workshop today. For those with little time I would encourage you to at least look at Markus' talk at 16:00: http://infnforge.cnaf.infn.it/cdsagenda//fullAgenda.php?ida=a0517

With regard to the issue of a repository as discussed on this list earlier today please see slide 12 of the above talk. There is now an intention to provide a software repository. There is also useful information about the next release and issues with gLite deployment that may be of interest.

Again, I urge you to write to the list or myself with feedback on any of this material - several of us are at the meeting to present your views!

Thanks,
Jeremy

Subject: Re: Sites not publishing accounting data

Hi all,

Well, if we've learned one thing over the last year is that if LCG
doesn't have the manpower/inclination to do something, we can often just
do it ourselves... (and often push LCG into finding the
manpower/inclination on the way)

So, is it possible for us to create a GridPP apt/yum/up2date repository
where we can put all the fixes and extra rpms GridPP wishes?

Adding rpms to this repository and keeping it up to date should be
responsibility of the UK/I ROC (ie. the Deployment Team - Tier 2
Co-ordinators, Steve Traylen, the various specialist support posts etc.)
Verifying it has the correct rpms would probably involve the UK testzone
sites.

regards,
Owen.
