Dear All The University of Bristol, Dept. of Social Medicine will be running Introduction to Medical Sociology from 9-10 June 2005. The course aims to give an overview of current research in the sub-discipline of medical sociology, by focusing on key topics. Through this, contemporary sociological theories, concepts and methods that are being applied to understanding medicine, health and illness are covered, and contrasted to traditional, classic approaches. The course aims to show what medical sociology has to offer by highlighting current concerns and contributions.
