The developers have asked me to keep a track of where the self-assessment sheet is going and who has expressed an interest in it, so I'm afraid I have to send it on an individual basis.

Cheers,

Cliona

HI Patricia,

We have a reflective self-assessment sheet that was developed by Physical Geography here, but is now used on a variety of courses.  Essentially the student has to reflect on their grammar, spelling, how they addressed the question, etc., and grade their performance.  The tutor also marks the sheet so that a comparison of the tutor's opinion can be made with that of the student.  The reverse of the sheet has information on the standard of work getting a I, 2.1, etc, some tick box feedback (saves lecturers writing 'you must improve your referencing' a hundred times), and space for individual feedback.  Students are required to hand this sheet in with every assignment, and it is returned to them with the essay.  Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but let me know if you'd like a copy.

Cheers,

Cliona

Dear colleagues

I have been asked by one of our faculties to look into existing good practice in resources relating to reflection on revision and assessment strategies as part of PDP. I seem to be drawing a blank though as pretty much everything seems to be focussed on broader semester or end of year reviews. I’d appreciate any help and advice that you can offer

Many thanks in advance

Patricia
