List members will recognise the illustrious name of J. C. Collins, 1841-1916, doyen of Cornish mineralogy and mining and founder of the Mineralogical Society of Great Britain and its journal. The Mineralogical Society have announced that a plaque to his memory will be dedicated and unveiled at St. Paul's Church, St. Austell, Cornwall, on 10th June 2005.
