Hi,

I was just forwarded data transfer documentation from our portable anquities officer. (Hooray!) I noticed that OAD are creating a tool to export portable antiquities data into FISH type xml... is HBSMR going to have a tool to import xml into it? (Crispin?) And did FISH ever sort out the problem of checking which sites are already on the database when you're importing, so things aren't duplicated? Concordance, I think the term was. I seem to recall at the HER forum meeting there wasn't a way to check data and there was no money to write anything. It'll be highly annoying if things get duplicated. Although I suppose HBSMR could have an entirely separate PAS layer/section?

It's an interesting step forward though.
