ESRC CASE Collaborative Studentship, Department of Geography & Research Centre for Museums and Galleries, University of Leicester, with Department of Culture, Media and Sport. Applications are invited for a PhD studentship to work on a project entitled 'Museum visits and social exclusion: the geography of school visits to museums' with Dr Martin Phillips (Department of Geography) and Professor Eilean Hooper-Greenhill (Museum Studies). The studentship will provide a standard ERSC maintenance grant (currently £14,000 per year), payment of University academic fees, an annual ESRC Research Training Grant (currently £750 per annum) and a further payment to the student of at least £2,000 per year from the Department of Media, Culture and Sports.
