Round Table on Archaeologies of the Recent and Contemporary Past

chaired by Dan Hicks and Angela Piccini

A few spaces are still available for colleagues from outside Bristol
wishing to attend the round table on 'Archaeologies of the Recent and
Contemporary Past' at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of
Bristol. The day forms past of the visit of Professor Michael Shanks
(Stanford University) to Bristol as a Benjamin Meaker Fellow, and Michael
will begin each section of the discussion with a short presentation on
three themes: Collection, Site, and Metamorphosis.

The round table brings together postgraduates working on archaeologies of
the recent and contemporary past, and colleagues from outside Bristol
working in this field. If you'd like to attend, please send an email to
