The first 2005 number of the Digital Document Quarterly is available at http://home.pacbell.net/hgladney/ddq_4_1.htm. DDQ 4(1) identifies and provides links to the search and information retrieval tools and articles that I believe will provide readers a quickly effective entry into the burgeoning Web resources for finding information that interests them. It continues with brief articles on information standards of interest for digital preservation. The DDQ 4(1) Reading Recommendations are a bit unusual for DDQ in that they are not for scholarly topics, but rather a political topic--identifying sources that might help Westerners understand the origins of Muslim terrorism. The number finishes with the usual treatment of selected Practical Matters and Software Recommendations, which includes some recent best prices for PC technology. Best wishes, Henry H.M.
