CALL FOR PAPERS for an Interdisciplinary Conference on Memory in the Crime Genre to be held at National University of Ireland, Galway Friday 10 - Sunday 12 June, 2005 Papers may focus on any aspect of memory within the crime genre, in literature or in film and from any language area (although papers must be delivered in English). Contributions looking at historical, political and cultural memory are welcome, as are papers examining subjective and individual memory and tricks of memory. Papers will be welcomed from a range of disciplines (modern languages, history, film studies, literary and cultural studies, political science and sociology etc.) Abstracts (of 300 words maximum) should be sent to Dr Quinn, Dr Dine or Dr Krajenbrink to reach us no later than Tuesday, 15 March 2005. Papers should be no more than twenty minutes in length.
