Conference activity will be structured in three panels: I panel: From the Eastern to the Western Europe: Cultural contacts during the Late Antiquity and Early Middle Age II panel: Revising Principles of Periodization of the World History. Middle Ages and Modern History. III panel: Ethnic Policies in Contemporary Europe. The working language of the conference is English. Eligibility criteria: · Be a junior faculty member, MA or PhD student; · Scientific interest in the proposed subjects; · Good Command of English; · Application form and one-page paper proposal (500 words). Application deadline is April 1, 2005. Arriving day – Morning of May 12, Departure day – May 15, 2005 Organizers will cover all expanses related to participation in the conference (accommodation, meal). Participants are expected to cover costs for travel and visa.
