medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear Marijim,

The source is Augustine, _De civitate Dei_ 18. 23, where this is the 9th
line of a Latin hexameter poem said to be a translation of an acrostic
prophecy by the Erythraean Sibyl, the first letters of whose lines
spelled out (in the Greek alphabet) "Iesous Chreistous Theios Uiou Soter".

Best,
John Dillon
