Apologies for cross-posting - Call for papers: 3rd ESPAnet annual conference 22-24 September 2005 University of Fribourg, Switzerland The third ESPAnet annual conference will take place at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland on the 22-24 September 2005. The annual ESPAnet conferences seek to encourage exchange between scholars doing innovative research in the field of comparative social policy. The conference is open to anyone active in social policy research, and welcomes contributions from all relevant disciplines. The theme of the 2005 conference will be: "Making social policy in the postindustrial age" The focus of the conference will on the process of welfare state transformation. It will provide a forum for discussing different visions of the future of the welfare state, for comparing national trajectories, and for dealing with questions of legitimacy and political feasibility of welfare reform.
