The reason seems to be that the file modification dates on the various components of "libtool/libltdl" now mean that you need a working automake system to re-generate some of the files, which you clearly do not have when bootstrapping (except on systems like Linux that have these installed already, which is why these work). Anyway I've "fixed" this problem, but wonder if the regeneration using starconf has gone wrong in someway? After all shouldn't the results of that produce the correct modification times?
