Peter,

Perhaps I have not been taking into account the speed increases in cpus. But
our current Solaris box used to run at about the same speed as the old 1GHz
P3 in rlspc1, the build for the software used to take about the same amount
of time including HTX linkup phase.

All,

That reminds me, does the current build do the HTX linkup phase? I should
imagine that the binary distributions will have to do it?

Steve.

Steve,

I've fixed the failure to build tclsys/tk, so it should show more actual
progress tomorrow.

For reference, the Solaris box I use for building at Durham takes a day
and a half beginning to end, but it is quite old.

Cheers,

Peter.
