General Motors Corp. had big plans to wow the automotive world when it takes the wraps off its Corvette Z06 sports car next week at the Detroit auto show. But to millions of Corvette fans the car's sleek new look is already old hat.
That's because unauthorized photos of the car started appearing on Web car-fan sites almost two months ago, and later showed up in auto magazines -- despite GM's aggressive efforts to put the new 'Vette and its 500 horses back in the barn.
