medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Kentigern is also known as Mungo, and as such is patron saint of Glasgow.  Years ago my husband, a historian of higher education, was checking lists of students at St.Andrews and came across a "Quintigernus" (the rosters were in Latin).  It took us a while -- and the fact we had a red cat named Mungo -- to make the connection.  The student's actual name was, in fact, Mungo.
