Dear Zooarchers, Happy 2005 and best wishes for the new year! Also, I want to say a belated thank you to everyone who responded to my request for information about faunal remains from Anglo-Saxon sites. All your information was really useful. I am writing to ask for contributions to a session at the 2006 ICAZ meetings in Mexico City. Doug Campana and I would like to try to organize a session on ZOOARCHAEOLOGY AND COLONIALISM for the 2006 meetings. We are interested in a variety of papers that could include European colonialism in the Americas, as well as Roman colonialism in Europe and the Middle East. Other zooarchaeological studies of colonialism would be most welcome. We would love to hear from prospective participants. We may be losing our compuserve e-mail account, so please reply to one of the following e-mail addresses: [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] We look forward to seeing you all in Mexico in 2006. All our best wishes for 2005. Pam Crabtree and Doug Campana
